Beginning May 30th, we will be 'Walking to the Beach' in Pensacola, Florida. We will have 75 days to complete the point to point challenge of 375 miles. That is 5 miles daily! Each week, participants will check in with the Community Center to log their miles and move their markers.
Participants will be given tracker sheets to log their daily miles/steps. These log sheets will need to be turned in weekly by dropping them off or emailing them to office@ward7rec.com .
Ward 7 Community Center will track those miles as they are turned in weekly. Participants can choose to display their miles on the window of the fitness room. Please ask a Ward 7 Employee for more details and assistance with this.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt when registering for the challenge. Pedometers are available upon request in limited quantities.
We will have (3) age groups:
All participants that complete the challenge will receive a medal at the end of the 75 days. Challenge Winners will be recognized at the August 14th Board Meeting.

Final miles/steps must be turned in by 8 PM on August 13th! We will track this challenge by the 'HONOR SYSTEM'. While we are all up for a little competition, please keep your numbers accurate and honest.
All miles/steps will count. Write down your total steps/miles walked for the day. Logs should be turned into the Community Center by Thursday of each week.
If you make it to the BEACH before a designated check-in day, you CAN turn in your logs early.

All fitness classes are free to attend with any current fitness room membership.

Credit card information is secure and will only be used for the purpose of processing your payment for registration of the selected program or payment for rental of facilities.
Facility Rental Refund Policy - Reservations must be cancelled 14 days prior to event to receive a full deposit refund. If cancellation is received 7-13 days ahead of event, deposit will be refunded at 50%. Reservations cancelled with less than 7 days, will forfeit entire deposit.
Activities & Sports Program Refund Policy –A full refund will be given if a program is cancelled by Ward 7 Recreation Center. There is no refund once the program has started. Program is considered to start at Draft or once items have been ordered.
